On the northern half of France, clearings will be known this Wednesday morning, with a blue and clear sky, as is the case for Île-de-France. Overall temperatures will however remain quite low, ranging from 6°C in the Ardennes. As for the rest of the French territory, clouds will clutter the sky in the morning, especially in the south west of the country. However, the weather this afternoon will be more pleasant in most areas. Only part of the south will spend the afternoon in unstable weather, as La Chaîne Météo reports. On the other hand, the evening of May 24 promises to be very stormy, since 28 French departments are concerned by a storm alert. Find in our slideshow below the list of the departments concerned.

Between cumulus clouds, more or less heavy showers, and thunderstorms, the evening of this Wednesday, May 24 is looming very rough for the south of mainland France. However, on the rest of France, the weather will be rather calm. Indeed, the sky will be quite clear, despite cumulus clouds which will be present in certain regions, and temperatures will be higher than during the morning.

As the official website of La Chaîne Météo tells us, during the night of this Wednesday, the rains and thunderstorms will calm down in part of the south, but will still rumble in the southwest and in the Pyrenees. Find the list of the 28 departments on storm alert this Wednesday, May 24 in our slideshow.
