Sophie Brochu has been busy since leaving Hydro-Québec. After CGI last May, the former head of the state-owned company should join the board of directors of the Quebec multinational CAE.

The appointment should be formalized on August 9, at the annual meeting of the specialist in flight simulators and pilot training. Ms. Brochu, who headed Hydro-Quebec for about three years, is also a member of the board of directors of the Bank of Montreal.

CAE says it approached Ms. Brochu in 2022 “before she announced her departure from Hydro-Québec.”

His candidacy is listed in CAE’s proxy statement sent to its shareholders.

We also learn that the total compensation of President and CEO Marc Parent remained stable, at 10.7 million. Together, CAE’s top five bosses received a salary totaling 22.6 million.
