This was one of the great expectations of the French: to be able to calculate their future retirement as accurately as possible, according to the context dictated by the government and the recent pension reform. It must be said that the battle that was played out between the executive, the opposition and the unions had left hope for the main concerned, but it was without counting on the strike force of the majority. After weeks of debate, the pension reform should therefore come into effect on September 1st and it is now time to prepare for it. How can you use the official reform simulator?

On June 8, the last hopes of a democratic withdrawal from the pension reform were extinguished with those of the Liot group, forced to withdraw its bill on the repeal of the pension reform. As reported by Le Monde, the president of the Liot group, Bertrand Pancher thus chose, with regret, this solution after having noted that “nothing [remained] anything left of our text, except the amendments of the minority”. The support of the Palais-Bourbon therefore did not allow the text to continue on its way.

While the pension reform no longer poses any real democratic threats, it should be implemented as of September 1. In order to prepare for this situation, the Info-retraite.fr site launched its new official simulator on June 12, from 6 a.m. Future retirees will thus be able to calculate the amount of their retirement and especially the conditions under which they will be able to leave their professional life.

Thanks to the now updated official simulator, you can calculate at what age you will have to retire, estimate the amount of your pension or even observe the number of quarters you have validated. All the elements put in place as part of the pension reform are thus part of the simulator, in particular the raising of the legal retirement age, the extension of the contribution period or the long career system.

You can access it through your retirement account. All information on your future retirement age, the number of quarters validated or the amount of the pension is automatically calculated according to the career notes recorded by your pension plan.

To obtain these estimates, you also have the opportunity to use the suisjeconcerne.info.fr site and note various personal information, such as your professional activity, your years and months of birth, as well as the number of quarters contributed before your 20 years.

You will then be able to obtain the legal retirement age that will concern you, the number of quarters required in order to benefit from the full rate, but also an estimate of the amount of your pension. However, you will have to wait until the fall to be able to estimate your gradual retirement as precisely as possible.
