(Berlin) Petra Kvitova showed she’s ready to challenge for a third Wimbledon title on Sunday, beating Donna Vekić 6-2, 7-6(6) in the final in Berlin.

The 33-year-old Czech secured a 31st title, including the English Grand Slam leg in 2011 and 2014.

Only Venus Williams, with 49, has amassed more titles among active players.

Kvitova did not lose a set in the tournament, also beating Karolina Pliskova, Nadia Podoroska, Caroline Garcia and Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Ranked ninth in the world, Kvitova completed the first set in 33 minutes.

She saved three out of four break points and converted four of her five such chances, en route to a sixth crown on the grass.
