The Montreal Alliance is adding an important piece to its roster for next season: American guard Ahmed Hill.

Hill, 28, finished the 2022 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CBLE) season ranked 11th in game scoring. With the Guelph Nighthawks, the Georgia native averaged 17.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

In a press release on Thursday, the principal concerned said he was “more than happy” to join an “incredible” organization.

“I remember playing against the Alliance and being very impressed with the energy of the fans,” he added. I look forward to contributing to the success of the team and bringing a championship back to Montreal. »

Undrafted, Hill signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets in September 2019. He played in the G League for two seasons, from 2019-2021, with the Northern Arizona Suns and Greensboro Swarm.

Currently, he wears the colors of the club Medi Bayreuth, in the German first division, where he has accumulated 12.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 15 meetings. He also made 39.1% of his attempts from the three-point line.

Hill is the fourth confirmed member of the Alliance’s 2023 roster, joining Nathan Cayo, Alain Louis and Mamadou Gueye.
