(Nashville) Former NHL player Nicolas Kerdiles died following a motorcycle accident in Nashville on Saturday. He was 29 years old.
The former member of the Anaheim Ducks crashed into the side of a sport utility vehicle early Saturday, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and neither driver showed signs of impairment, the police service added.
Kerdiles died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Police do not expect any charges.
The Ducks selected Kerdiles in the 2012 draft and he spent two seasons with the team, playing in three career NHL games. He was traded to the Winnipeg Jets in 2018 and played for the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League. Most recently, Kerdiles worked in real estate in Nashville.

Kerdiles wore the colors of the University of Wisconsin, whose hockey program mourned his death on social media. USA Hockey did the same.
