(Philadelphia) Joel Embiid played through an ankle injury and still extended his streak with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds to 13 games, helping the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Toronto Raptors 121-111, Friday night.

Embiid scored all 31 of his points after being injured when he fell hard trying to block a shot with 5:25 left in the first quarter. He also had 10 rebounds.

Embiid has scored at least 30 points in 14 straight games, the longest streak in the NBA since James Harden’s 32 in 2018-19.

Embiid returned to the locker room after his fall, but quickly returned to the game and had 11 points on the clock at halftime. He also recorded nine assists and four blocks.

Embiid did not want to talk about his ankle after the game.

“I don’t know,” he said. I’m going to have it evaluated. We will see. »

76ers head coach Nick Nurse confirmed it was an ankle injury, but would not say more.

“He stayed in the game and it didn’t affect his rotation,” Nurse said. But he played until the end and I’m almost certain he will have some discomfort tomorrow. We will have to evaluate it over the next few days before boarding the plane. »

Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey both scored 33 points. It was the second time in team history that three players scored at least 30 points in the same game.

Harris scored 24 points in the first half. Maxey added 10 assists.

Pascal Siakam led the Raptors with 31 points. Jakob Poeltl scored 19 points in the loss.

The Raptors led by 15 points in the first quarter, but the 76ers closed the gap and took the lead for good with 1:15 left in the second quarter on a three-pointer by Harris.
