On the men’s side, Connor Howe won the first men’s 1000m after taking silver in the 5000m.

Quebecer Laurent Dubreuil took silver, finishing the event in a time of 1:08.08. Dubreuil won gold in the 500m on Thursday, a day after winning gold in the 500m.

In the men’s 10,000m, Bloemen earned his second straight championship title with a time of 13:06.95.
