Pôle emploi had announced a 1.9% increase in unemployment benefit from April 1, 2023. This exceptional increase aimed to better support job seekers in the face of inflation, in addition to the increase of 2. 9% of the previous summer. However, this is not the only initiative of Pôle emploi to help job seekers. Discover the 7 little-known financial devices that could significantly help you.

Last August, Pôle emploi was the victim of a large-scale cyberattack, potentially affecting millions of people. If you were registered with Pôle emploi in February 2022 or if your registration ended less than a year ago, your personal data may have been compromised. This security breach came after an attack targeting one of the agency’s suppliers, Majorel. The stolen data, including sensitive information such as first and last names, job seeker status and social security numbers, was distributed online. Pôle emploi is working to contact victims of this cyberattack individually, with nearly 4 million emails sent to notify those affected.

In 2024, Pôle emploi will undertake a major transformation by becoming France Travail, scheduled for January 1, 2024. The main objective of this transition is to facilitate access to the labor market and reduce the current unemployment rate of 7.1 % to 5% by 2027. France Travail will bring together State employment services, in particular local missions, Cap emploi, local authorities, integration organizations and associations, as well as Ca f . Its main objective will be to provide guidance, support, training, integration and placement services for people looking for work or facing social difficulties. All job seekers, including young people, people with disabilities and RSA beneficiaries, will have to register with France Travail to access these services.

After examining these recent developments, here are in more detail the 7 little-known financial aids that the agency offers to support job seekers in their professional journey.

This aid, often little known to the general public, can make a real difference in the lives of job seekers in France. Find out how they can benefit you and the steps you can take to make the most of them.
