On a flight to New York, a mysterious fog suddenly wafted through the cabin. A passenger captured the event on a TikTok video.

A mysterious fog aboard a JetBlue flight has caused confusion among passengers. A passenger, Savannah G., posted a video of the incident on TikTok. “What is that?” she asked in amazement and added the words: “The pilot – It seems to be raining in the cabin” to the video.

The flight’s departure location is not known, but according to the New York Post, this phenomenon is said to be common in the southern states of the United States, especially as summer approaches.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the “mist” is caused by water condensing on air conditioners and cooling coils when moist air comes into contact with the cool surfaces. “On board aircraft you can sometimes see the air conditioning cooling and condensing the warm outside air,” NYP quoted an easyJet spokesman as saying after a similar incident on a flight from France to London last summer. The condensation is completely harmless to passengers.

Savannah’s post, which has been viewed more than two million times, divided the comments section. Some found the event extremely unpleasant, while others found it a pleasant change from the dry and stuffy cabin climate.

Just recently there was a completely different incident on a flight to the USA. A plane turned around before takeoff because one of the passengers developed severe flatulence and was bothering the other guests.
