(Winnipeg) The Winnipeg Jets have placed the name of their leading scorer Kyle Connor on the injured list.

The Manitoba team made the announcement on its social networks on Wednesday, without giving a timetable for its return to play. Connor was injured in the knee.

Connor was injured in a knee-to-knee collision with Anaheim Ducks forward Dylan Strome on Sunday. He returned to Winnipeg to meet with team doctors.

The 27-year-old winger has 17 goals and 28 points in 25 games this season.

The Jets are scheduled to conclude a four-game road trip Wednesday with a visit to the Los Angeles Kings. In order to replace him in the lineup, they recalled forward Dominic Toninato from their American League farm club.
