The Laval Rocket narrowly lost to the Utica Comets 3-2 on Friday night.

Cayden Primeau stopped 31 shots for the Rocket, while Isaac Poultier saved 33 shots from the net.

Alexander Holtz scored the first goal for the Comets after 3:25 of play, on an assist from Ryan Schmelzer.

The Rocket was able to react in the first twenty, with a goal from Mitchell Stephens, halfway through the period.

The Comets regained the lead with three minutes left in the first period, thanks to a goal from Brian Halonen.

Aarne Talvitie gave the Comets a comfortable cushion, scoring 1:51 into the second half.

Finally, Pierrick Dubé, on an assist from Xavier Simoneau, closed the gap for the Rocket in the third period, after 5:07, in a period with no penalties whistled against the two teams.
