Another said, “That was such an extraordinary moment.”

Phil has been thinking about his mother lately, and her voice was used along with that of Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp), earlier in the week.

When Peggy spoke to Phil, he sat down in the middle square and stared up at Queen Vic.

In a flashback, Phil recalls his mother’s death and heard Peggy say to him: “Phil, you gotta go out there and defend the things that are yours.”

This soundbite is a snippet from an older episode of BBC One.
Peggy passed away in May 2016, after succumbing to cancer.
