(Jacksonville) Quarterback Trevor Lawrence took part in some drills during the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice Thursday, meaning he took another step in his rehabilitation after suffering a sprained ankle.

Lawrence took handoffs from center, moved behind the line of scrimmage and threw a few passes during the media portion of the practice session ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

He did so after saying the day before that he felt much better than he anticipated after tackle Walker Little crushed his ankle late in Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

If Lawrence is able to play Sunday, then he will be dealing with injuries to both legs. He strained his left knee in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, played against the New Orleans Saints four days later and has been in a knee brace ever since.

Lawrence has played to his full potential in the Jaguars’ last three games. He rushed for 884 yards, threw five touchdown passes and had just one interception in that span. He also scored four rushing touchdowns.
