A year after leaving politics, former solidarity MP Catherine Dorion is preparing a return to the stage, this time to the theater: she will present a documentary play on democracy starting in February, in Quebec and Montreal.

His four-year stint in politics was obviously a source of inspiration for this creation, which is entitled Sciences Po 101, Treatise on insoumission for the use of the real world. Catherine Dorion created it in collaboration with the director Alexandre Fecteau and the actor Vincent Massé-Gagné.

“Together, they explore the ways in which the strength of the people could regain a foothold beyond the feeling of powerlessness, the ambient media overload and the agendas filled to the brim,” wrote Productions Martin Leclerc, Thursday morning, in a press release.

It is an “interactive” and “immersive” piece, during which the public will be invited to vote and express themselves. “Will he sit quietly in his seat? Will he rise up against the absurdity of what is happening on stage? »

Sciences Po 101, Treatise on insoumission for the use of the real world will be presented at the Salle Octave-Crémazie of the Grand Théâtre de Québec on February 18, 19 and 20, 2025 and at the Cinquième Salle at Place des Arts on February 8, 9 and April 10, 2025.

Tickets go on sale here from November 10.
