(Toronto) Scottie Barnes will be a member of the Toronto Raptors for at least one more season.

The Raptors exercised the option at their discretion for a fourth season on Barnes’ rookie contract, who is now under contract through the end of the 2024-25 season.

Financial details of the contract have not been disclosed.

In 77 games last season, Barnes averaged 15.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals in nearly 35 minutes of play per game.

The NBA’s Most Outstanding Rookie in 2021-22, Barnes made 45.6% of his field goals last season and scored 20 or more points 18 times. He had his career-best performance on March 10 against the Los Angeles Lakers, when he had 32 points.

The Raptors selected Barnes fourth overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. He is the first player drafted by the Raptors to have at least 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 500 assists in his first two NBA seasons.
