Singer-songwriter Elisapie unveiled an Inuktitut cover of Rolling Stones classic Wild Horses on Wednesday.

Adapted into her mother tongue, the ballad is the fourth single from her covers album, Inuktitut.

After Blondie’s Heart of Glass and Cindy Lauper’s Time After Time, the artist unveiled a cover of Metallica’s The Unforgiven in June, which caught the attention of the American magazine Rolling Stone.

This time, Elisapie appropriates the emblematic song of the British group on minimalist and moving arrangements signed by her faithful collaborator Joe Grass.

The track is also accompanied by a music video filmed in Inukjuak and Salluit in Nunavik.

The Inuit artist’s fourth solo project, Inuktitut is an album of covers of rock and pop classics translated and performed in his mother tongue. It will be released on September 15.
