(Montreal) Sophia Jensen ended her time at the Paris Canoe-Kayak World Cup strong with a first place finish in the B final of the C1 200m on Friday.

Seventh in his wave in the semi-finals, Jensen was unable to carve out a place among the eight canoeists who reached the grand final. She who had to settle for the B final.

The Chelsea athlete still gave everything she had to end the competition in style with a first place in this last race.

The Quebecer completed the distance in 47.02 seconds, finishing ahead of Poland’s Katarzyna Szperkiewicz (0.14 seconds) and Croatia’s Vanesa Tot (0.35 seconds).

In the A final, China’s Lin Wenjun won ahead of Ontario’s Katie Vincent, who took the second step of the podium.

On Thursday, Jensen won bronze in the C 2500m alongside Nova Scotian Julia Lilley Osende.
