(Arlington) Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes and the Dallas Cowboys extended their home winning streak to 14 games, coming from behind to defeat the Seattle Seahawks 41-35 on Thursday.

Prescott’s 12-yard pass to Jake Ferguson gave the Cowboys the lead (8-3) with four and a half minutes remaining. The Texas team thus avoided suffering a first setback since that of 28-23 against the Philadelphia Eagles at the beginning of November.

Geno Smith connected with D. K. Metcalf three times for touchdowns, including a 73-yard play, and the Seahawks (6-6) regained their offensive skills. However, they were unable to avoid a third defeat in a row.

Brandon Aubrey made four field goals for the Cowboys. The 28-year-old rookie improved his own NFL mark with 26 field goals to begin his career.

Neither team punted. It was only the fifth such match in the history of the circuit.

The Cowboys trailed 35-30 when Zach Charbonnet was blocked on a fourth down and a yard. Seven plays later, Prescott found Brandin Cooks for the two-point conversion. Cooks also scored a touchdown himself in the second quarter.

CeeDee Lamb had the other passing touchdown and finished the game with 12 catches for 116 yards. His 24-yard run put the team in field goal position late in the game, and Aubrey took advantage to give the Cowboys a six-point lead.

The Seahawks drove to midfield with 1:11 left, but pressure from Micah Parsons on a fourth down forced Smith to punt the ball.

Smith accumulated 334 yards through the air, scoring a touchdown on the ground and making an interception.
