This is the million-dollar question: will The Office finally get its reboot?
In an interview with Collider, the co-creator of the hit sitcom, Greg Daniels, reacted to rumors regarding a possible reboot.
“I think it’s very speculative […] What I would say is that when there is something to announce, I will definitely announce it,” he responded vaguely.
However, he confirmed that there had been conversations with NBC, which broadcast the series from 2005 to 2013.
The screenwriter has already mentioned in the past the idea of a sequel to the popular series, but “I don’t think it would be the same characters,” he said.
“I think it would just be kind of an expansion of the universe, you know what I mean, like The Mandalorian is an expansion of Star Wars. But I don’t know if it’s something people would want or not, it’s hard to say,” Greg Daniels said.
