Valérie Pascale (Miss France 1986): what is she becoming today?

Valérie Pascale’s life changed dramatically in the 1980s. Daughter of actress and agency director Danik Patisson (elected Miss Paris 1960) and Philippe Boutet, the Parisian was destined for a career as an actress. But, her meeting with a certain Geneviève de Fontenay will change her plans: she becomes Miss France 1986.

In an interview for Here Paris, Valérie Pascale returned to the reasons for her participation in the beauty contest. “My mother had a modeling agency. Geneviève de Fontenay had contacted her because she was looking for candidates to participate in Miss Paris. I was behind the scenes to prepare the applicants and my mother convinced me to pass the preselections”, has she confided to our colleagues in 2020, quoted by Purepeople.

By becoming the “most beautiful woman in France”, Valérie Pascale had several repercussions on her personal life. “I had just put my acting career on hold when I won Miss France. The baccalaureate was in June. And what had to happen happened: I got kicked out of high school for absenteeism”.

Despite being kicked out of high school, the young ambassador had the opportunity to be invited to various galas and public events. However, this sudden notoriety did not leave him with a good memory on other aspects. “I was not allowed to smoke in public or go out with a boy. And I had to wear my scarf all the time. To tell the truth, this kind of thing got me drunk”, recognizes the one who “sometimes sintered” with the famous lady in the hat facing our colleagues.

After the end of her reign, the one who ceded her title to Nathalie Marquay turned to the small screen. Indeed, Valérie Pascale was first a speaker on FR3 before presenting musical programs on M6. In the early 1990s, the former Miss arrived on Antenne 2 where she presented the programs Cékanon and Pince-moi. In 1992, we find her as a candidate for the game Fort Boyard and shortly after, she will become co-host for a season with Patrice Laffont.

In the middle of this decade, Valérie Pascale returned to M6 and became one of the key faces of teleshopping with Pierre Dhostel on M6 Boutique. For almost 30 years, the host and mother of four children has not left the small screen. As proof, the fifties was present for the centenary of the competition at the end of 2020, which saw the coronation of Amandine Petit. Two years later, Valérie Pascale was back among the former beauty queens who came to interview the finalists for the title of Miss France 2023.

Less followed than other Misses on social networks, Valérie Pascale does not hesitate to share memories of her year of reign, her TV activities and rare private moments.
