Stores open on Sunday? The debate is still raging: if for some Sunday is a day dedicated to rest, for others the convenience of shopping in this free time is not negligible. Although prohibited by law, the opening of shops on Sundays is more and more frequent, subject to authorisation, however. It all depends on the number of employees, the nature of the business or its location.
Some small and medium-sized local stores get the precious sesame: such as, for example, Casino, Franprix, G20… Large stores, such as Carrefour, Cora and Leclerc, are not left out since they are more and more numerous open on Sunday.

The Auchan group has obtained authorization to open on Sundays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for some of its stores. To find out if the one near you is, go to the Auchan website and enter your postal code.
As with Auchan, not all of the group’s stores are systematically open on Sundays. To find out if the Carrefour store near you is open, go to the Carrefour website and look for its opening hours. Shops are generally open between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Not all Coras are open on Sundays between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You should therefore check the store’s website for the Cora opening hours near you.
Franprix stores are generally open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To find out if yours is open, go to franprix.fr.
G20 stores can open on Sundays, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. To be sure, go to the G20 site.
Casino hours vary from store to store, some are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. To check if any of them are open, go to the Casino site.
Go to the Intermarché website to make sure that the one near you is open on Sundays. These supermarkets can sometimes be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Go to the Leader Price website to check that your store is open on Sundays. It can be from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Leclerc stores are often open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. But to check it, it is better to go to the Leclerc site.
U supermarkets sometimes open on Sunday mornings, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. To make sure yours is open, go to the U stores site.
