Since July 1988, the Miss weather Catherine Laborde was the heyday of TF1 before finally retiring in January 2017. A beautiful and long career on television which had to end following the announcement of her illness. Indeed, for a few years, the sister of the journalist Françoise Laborde has been suffering from Lewy body disease, a mixture of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

In an interview with Audrey Crespo-Mara on the show Seven to Eight in October 2018, the former weather presenter confided in her heavy illness. “It seems far to me because all the same, it’s the disease that will prevail I think, at one time or another. It’s a shame, I would have liked it to last a long time! But I know although there is a time when it has to stop“, she had told. A disease that prompted her to write an autobiography entitled Trembler. “I couldn’t imagine one day not riding a bike. As soon as I get on a bike, I no longer have the sense of direction, the sense of balance. It’s a defeat”, had- she explained before adding: “I can no longer write by hand. And the computer after a while it starts to shake again, it’s complicated. Would I have written Trembler if I didn’t Hadn’t had this disease? Probably not”.

The star seems to be getting better, as her sister told Non Stop People on April 13, 2021. She is resting in Vendée with her family. “Her eldest daughter is with her, Gabrielle, with her husband and their little boy. She is with her family and Pia, her second daughter, has come to spend time with her,” she said. More recently, Françoise Laborde unveiled a new snapshot of her surrounded by her loved ones.
