This amendment carried by the right, majority in the Senate, was adopted with 195 votes for, 130 against and 19 abstentions. Quoted by AFP, the Minister of Solidarity Jean-Christophe Combe assured to join the senator “on the objectives” of the amendment. Only, he added, “we chose consultation and a bill in January, not a measure in a bill to finance Social Security”.
