These products can now be easily found in supermarkets and have found their place in many shopping carts of French families.

However, like most foods, chicken nuggets may also be subject to recall.

This procedure follows the detection of Listeria monocytogenes, the agent responsible for listeriosis, in the one-kilogram trays of Maître Coq brand chicken nuggets. The products concerned were marketed between July 22 and 27, 2022 in various supermarkets throughout France. The potentially contaminated lot is 2P22201 with a use-by date of August 12, 2022.

The Rappel Conso platform specifies that people who have consumed this product and who have symptoms such as fever, headaches or body aches are “invited to consult their doctor by notifying him of this consumption”.

It is also important to note that pregnant women as well as elderly or immunocompromised people should be particularly attentive to these symptoms because they could develop more serious forms.

Thus, it is strongly advised not to consume the nuggets and to bring them back to the supermarket where they were purchased.
