In a few weeks, Sepp Straka will be returning to Georgia. After a remarkable comeback, Sepp Straka is headed to his first Masters.

Straka was five shots behind at the end of the round. He tapped in for birdie on the last hole in the rain and beat Shane Lowry by one stroke to become the first Austrian winner of the PGA Tour. He finished at 10 under on Sunday and earned $1.44million with a 4-under-66.

Lowry shot a third round of 67 for his third consecutive round. His 9 under total for this week came up just one short. Kurt Kitayama (68), the first round leader, was third at 8 under. Daniel Berger, who lead by six shots with 19 left in the tournament, fell apart Sunday. His round of 74 gave him 7 under and three shots behind Straka.

To force a playoff, Lowry had to hit a 45-footer on the last hole for birdie. The Honda had a new champion, one who was ranked No. The world’s No. 176 ranking has never been better than the previous. This pro is ranked 129th on the list. His claim to fame was probably being the Tokyo Olympics’ first round leader.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS

TUCSON (AZ) — Miguel Angel Jimenez made his second hole in one of the tournament. He finished with a 7 under 65 to win Cologuard Classic.

Jimenez opened the final round at Tucson National with a lead of two shots. He then got off to a birdie eagle start. Bernhard Langer, the reigning Charles Schwab Cup champion, cut the lead to three by scoring a birdie at the par-5 12th. Jimenez then followed up with one of his own.

The 58-year old Spaniard ended any hopes of a late rally by scoring an ace on the par-3, 178-yard 14th. This was the same as the one he scored at No. 7, in the first round. Jimenez finished at 18-under 198, and won for the second consecutive year in three PGA Tour Champions starts.

Langer shot 65 to match Woody Austin’s 66 at 14 under.

Jimenez won the season opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hawaii. He was also fifth at the Chubb Classic last week in Florida. Due to his ace, Jimenez opened the Cologuard Classic with an impressive 66 and shot 67 in round 2.

OTHER TOURS

JC Ritchie won the Jonsson Workwear Open in South Africa with a 1-under 71. This was his second win in just two weeks in tournaments sanctioned by both the Challenge Tour (and the Sunshine Tour). Christopher Mivis from Belgium finished second with a score of 66. Ritchie is now at the top of Road to Mallorca rankings on the Challenge Tour. … Chan Shih Chang closed the Asian Tour with a 4-under 68 to win The Royal’s Cup. Three shots behind were Sihwan Kim (70), and Sadom Kaewkanjana 68.
