The draw will take place in Manchester at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 28th.

This evening, Manchester will host the Women’s Euro 2022 draw.

England is the tournament’s hosts, and they know that they will be playing as Group A. Northern Ireland, however, waits anxiously to find out their opponents for what will be their first appearance in the competition.

After their draw against Austria, which was 2-2, Kenny Shiels’ team will be watching from Seaview in Belfast.

It could have been even more for the Green and White Army, who were leading 2-1 until minute 90, when Austria scored a late equaliser to ruin the party.

In a friendly, England beat four Northern Ireland players earlier in the month.

What is the draw?

There are 16 teams, and the four groups will consist of four. The quarter-finals will be decided by the top two teams from each pool at the conclusion of each group-stage.

England is in Pot 1 for this draw, along with three other top teams, according to Uefa rankings. The Netherlands, title-holders, are ranked first along with France and Germany in this pot.

Northern Ireland is in Pot 4 along with Russia, Finland, and Iceland. Pot 2 includes Sweden, Spain Norway, Italy, and Norway, while Pot 3 contains Denmark, Belgium and Switzerland.

Pot 1: England (A1 confirmed), Netherlands (holders), Germany and France

Pot 2 : Sweden, Spain, Norway, Italy

Pot 3 : Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria

Pot 4: Iceland, Russia and Finland, Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland could be drawn in one of the four groups. We don’t yet know where they will play, but we do know the venues for the other group-stage stages:

Stadium MK, Milton Keynes (Group A)

Brentford Community Stadium (Group A)

Leigh Sports Village (Group B)

Bramall Lane (Group C), Sheffield

New York Stadium, Rotherham (Group C)

Manchester City Academy (Group C)
