Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka weren’t really secure as they walked into the green to shoot their last putts, and PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh confessed the mishap.

“While we welcome passionate fan participation, we regret a minute of high elation and pent up emotion by audiences on the 18th hole of yesterday’s historical PGA Championship briefly defeated safety and made 2 players and their caddies feel vulnerable,” Waugh said.

“We always place players security near the very top of our listing and are thankful that order has been restored. I’ve spoken to players apologized on behalf of this Association.”

Mickelson walked into the 18th with all the massive gallery supporting him. He had been pushed while walking for his last putts. Police and safety were encircling him.

Koepka was the very outspoken about the lack of management.

“It could have been cool if I did not have a knee injury and got dinged several times at the knee at that audience since nobody gave a s–t,” Koepka explained, through the New York Post. “Yeah, it is trendy for Phil, but getting dinged a couple of times is not just my idea of enjoyment. I had been hoping to guard my knee”

Mickelson said that the scene was”a bit unnerving, but it had been exceptionally awesome also.”
