Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady Recognized’another way’ to achieve success

For 20 seasons, Tom Brady only understood one way — the”Patriot Way” — however, it took only one additional season to realize that it wasn’t the only way to achieve success.

“When you’re in one place for 20 decades, you believe that is the only way,” Brady told ABC’s”Good Morning America” in an interview that aired Wednesday. “And I believe if you visit a different location, you understand,’Wow. There’s another way that people do matters.'”

He later added:”I was the new man for the first time, you understand. And that was an extremely different experience.”

Those new adventures caused a familiar result, as Brady won another Super Bowl championship — his seventh overall — in his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“I think that is a great part about football,” Brady told GMA. “It is not really about what you did this past year. It’s kind of, what you’re going to do this year. So, for me personally, it was what I was going to perform to the Bucs last year. I still feel that way.”

“That is a big part of what I knew last year: Matters are gonna differ. I attempt to work within what’s currently happening, but still attempt to do the best I could do. All of it was really, truly amazing – obviously with how the season ended – so it was a fantastic year.”

It was also the first season he had played for a head coach aside from New England’s Bill Belichick.

“He has a great sense of the group… a fantastic heartbeat for what’s going on in a locker room, great instinct, great evaluation of gift.”

“I was always kind of inspired by people that say,’You can’t do it,” Brady explained. “You know,’you are not good enough, you are not fast enough, not big enough, not good enough arm’ I have needed a body of work over a time period and… fast you forget.”

This body of work isn’t completed. Brady is tied together with the Bucs through the 2022 year after agreeing to an extension this offseason that saved $19 million from the salary cap for 2021. And with that cash, the Bucs kept the group together, with 22 starters on offense and defense returning to the group to defend its name.

“I really don’t think proving it, for me, would be that the motivation,” Brady told GMA. “I still want to play. I have like a little sickness in me that just wants to throw a frickin’ spiral, you know what I mean?

“Once you stop, you can not go back and do it. I got some more football [left ]. I meannot a lot – and I know that. However, what I got left, I’m gont move and give everything I got.”
