Ohio State has paused all football-related pursuits and closed its sports administrative offices for a week after having an increase in positive tests for the coronavirus, the college said in an announcement on Tuesday.

The Buckeyes stated the choice to pause soccer activities and shut to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center offices had been created collectively by sports director Gene Smith and head team physician Dr. Jim Borchers”from an abundance of care and also the health, security and well-being of their student-athletes, football and coaches and facility service team as the maximum priority.”
