Zhuhai Tournament | Karen Khachanov wins her first title in five years

(Zhuhai) Karen Khachanov won her first title in nearly five years after defeating Yoshihito Nishioka 7-6 (2), 6-1 in the final of the Zhuhai Tennis Championship in China on Tuesday.

At the Tokyo Open, Marta Kostyuk defeated sixth seed Daria Kasatkina 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, while eighth seed Veronika Kudermetova defeated Harriet Dart 6-3, 7-6 (4).

Other first-round winners included Linda Noskova, Anastasia Pavlyuchecova, Ekaterina Alexandrova and Despina Papamichail.

Second seed Iga Swiatek will face Mai Hontama in the second round on Wednesday.
