The Grand Slam (France 3): who is Enzo, the greatest champion of Cyril Féraud’s game?

At only 19 years old, Enzo is writing his name in the history of game shows in France. Indeed, on September 18, the young candidate from Essonne crossed the symbolic threshold of 200,000 euros in earnings in Le Grand Slam, presented by Cyril Féraud, on France 3. As a result, he also becomes the biggest champion of the France Télévisions quizzes in terms of earnings. The previous record was so far held by Arthur, a musician by profession, and his 158,000 euros in earnings.

As a reminder, Le Grand Slam is the Sunday version of Slam, broadcast Monday to Friday at 5 p.m. on France 3, in which former candidates from the daily show compete to win the 10,000 euros at stake and take the place of the champion in contention. Since January 30, the student in business and administration management has not let go of his title of champion. This Sunday, September 25, he continued to raise his kitty which now reaches 209,500 euros in earnings.

In an interview with Télé-Loisirs, Enzo said that he follows Cyril Féraud’s show every day: “I watched it daily. I said to myself that as soon as I turned 18, I would register”. This is how the Essonais took his first steps on the set of Slam on November 23, 2021. The eldest of a family of three children, he can count on the unwavering support of his parents. “They tell me that there will be nothing serious to lose”, confided the one who would dream of being a verbicrucist for the show.

Enzo told TV magazine that he took an IQ test when he was 9 years old. His intelligence quotient stands at 148, well above the French average which is around 97 and 98. “Having a high IQ is not a wild card”, he insisted on qualifying. “It allows me to remember the definitions, it’s an advantage, but it does not help to find the words. It allows me in theory to be on an equal footing with the other candidates. Even if some, on social networks, think it’s not fair,” he concluded.

“He was almost beaten several times during his career […]. Which shows that he is not infallible, and that he always manages, even when he is in difficulty, to pull himself together, to refocus . And that he never lets go.” He hopes he will continue to fight. “I don’t know how far he will go, but I’m very proud,” commented Cyril Féraud to Télé-Loisirs last July.
