After obtaining their first victory the day before, the Remparts de Québec beat the Foreurs de Val-d’Or 3-2 in a shootout on Saturday.

Vsevolod Komarov scored the winning goal in the fifth round of the shootout.

Of the four goals scored in the match, three were on the power play, including two from the Foreurs.

Matis Ouellet opened the scoring for the visitors midway through the first period with already his third goal this season, but the Remparts responded less than two minutes later, thanks to the first of the campaign from Andrew Gweon, outnumbered.

Nathan Drapeau gave the Foreurs the lead again in the second period, with assists from Evan Dépatie and Nathan Baril.

Zachary Marquis-Laflamme made it 2-2 when he scored for the Remparts with 5:19 left in the third period.

Remparts goaltender and Montreal Canadiens prospect Quentin Miller stopped 29 pucks, while his opponent, Émile Beaunoyer, was impressive in the defeat with 39 saves.

Émile Duquet and Alexis Morin scored two goals each and the Chicoutimi Saguenéens beat the Charlottetown Islanders 6-3.

The Islanders led 2-1 after two periods, but the Saguenéens scored five goals in the third period.

For the Islanders, Michael Horth scored his seventh and eighth goals of the season.

In a match marked by lack of discipline, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies won 6-2 in Shawinigan against the Cataractes.

Four times in the match, several players were punished at the same time. Leo Braillard scored the only power play goal in the game, for the Cataractes.

Anthony Turcotte, however, scored his second goal of the match and his fourth of the season shorthanded, in an empty net late in the match.

The Halifax Mooseheads scored three goals in the third period to beat the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-1.

Lou Lévesque, Brody Fournier and Mathieu Cataford scored the Mooseheads’ goals. Cataford also got an assist on Fournier’s goal.

Markus Vidicek registered two assists in the victory.

The Armada’s only goal was the work of Alexis Bourque, on the power play.

Keegan Warren stopped 27 shots to help the Moncton Wildcats defeat the Saint John Sea Dogs 4-2.

The Wildcats had four different scorers in the game, with Thomas Auger, Yoan Loshing, Vincent Collard and Julius Sumpf hitting the target.

Sea Dogs goalie Patrick Leaver had a strong game with 30 saves.
