Taylor Swift tops the nominations for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, revealed on Tuesday.

The popular singer gets eight citations – seven for her Anti-Hero video and one for Artist of the Year – followed by SZA, whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe, who gets six.

Taylor Swift currently has 14 VMAs to her name, putting her behind Artist of the Year nominee Beyoncé, who has 28 (including two with Destiny’s Child), Madonna (20) and Lady Gaga (19).

Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith are tied with five selections, and BLACKPINK, Diddy and Shakira received four each.

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, taking place September 12, will feature a record 35 first-time nominees, including Petras, Metro Boomin’ and Rema, who earned three nominations each.
