Inflation continued to slow in February, and the Consumer Price Index fell to 5.2% from 5.9% in January.
Month over month, the price increase is 0.4%. Mortgage costs have risen and energy prices have risen. The cost of shopping for groceries continued to increase at an annual rate of 10.6%. February is the seventh month in a row where food prices have risen more than 10%.
