(Montreal) Legendary French singer Renaud will offer five shows in Quebec this spring.
The 71-year-old artist will take his Dans mes cordons tour to Gatineau, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Montreal, Trois-Rivières and Quebec City next May.
Renaud’s last visit to Quebec dates back to 2007, when he played on the Plains of Abraham during the Quebec Summer Festival. He performed for the first time in Quebec at the same festival in 1984.
For this tour, we promise an “intimate” concert, with piano and stringed instruments, during which he will perform his greatest hits, but also lesser known songs.
Throughout his career, Renaud has written and composed songs that have marked the French and Quebec imagination, including Morgane de toi, Miss Maggie, Mistral Gagner and more recently Les bobos.
A few years ago, he had to put his career on hold to treat health problems, but he returned in 2016 with a new album of original songs, bearing his name.
In 2022, he launched the cover album entitled Métèque.
Tickets will go on sale starting Friday.
