Emmanuelle Béart: what does she look like today?

She was successful from her early career in the cinema. It was in 1986 that the French made the acquaintance of this young and pretty Emmanuelle Béart thanks to the cult film Manon des sources. A remarkable role which allowed her to win at just 23 years old the César for best actress in a supporting role. “I’ve never had to fight in the cinema. And it’s true that at one point, I had a slump where I also refused things because I no longer felt the need”, she explained to Madame Figaro in May 2021.

Adored by fans and French directors, she was offered many other feature films in the following decade: from La Belle Noiseuse to J ’embrasse pas through Les Destinées sentimentales, a film which earned her her seventh nomination for the César for best actress. But what becomes of it today, in 2022? Before being an actress, Emmanuelle Béart is above all a mother. In 1992, she gave birth to her first child, Nelly, born of her relationship with her stage partner Daniel Auteuil. Four years later, she gave birth to her second child Yohann, from her relationship with music composer François Moreau. In 2009, she welcomed her third child, Surifel, a boy adopted with her husband Michaël Cohen.

A great acting career for which the star does not feel any nostalgia as she had reminded our colleagues. “When journalists want me to talk about my career, I never know what to say, I’m bored. Because it’s over, and I’m rooted in the present. Maybe because I have a kid 12 years old, because I’m in love, for all these reasons, I don’t know, but it’s moving forward that interests me, not looking back”.

Moving forward is what the pretty blonde is doing since she will soon be starring in the film Passengers of the Night, which is scheduled for release in 2022 at the Berlinale. Planet invites you to discover all the recent photos of the sublime Emmanuelle Béart.
