The autumnal equinox is coming in a few days. Our journalists suggest some ideas to inspire you.

The second Equinox festival will take place this Thursday, September 14, starting at noon, rue Saint-Jacques, in downtown Montreal. The rapper Loud is the headliner of this musical gathering whose programming is entirely Quebecois. Students from different universities are behind the creation of the festival which this year will also present the electro rhythms of TDJ, the pop singer Rosie Valland, the rock group Orloge Simard, the pianist Debbie Tebbs and Ken Presse, formerly of The Franklin Electric. A second stage will also allow you to discover new student talents.

Chris the Fire Ninja, flame virtuoso, Spring Action, family of trampoline acrobats, as well as Guillo, Guinness record holder for the longest slackline crossed without falling, are among the thirty professional artists from all over in the world who will take over the streets of Vieux-Mascouche this weekend, when CHAPO – International Festival of Public Entertainers will take place. Circus, comedy, theater, magic and shows for children: there will be something for everyone at this free event. The party begins this Friday with a grand opening show, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and continues through Sunday. More than 100 performances are planned during this fifth edition.

3 to 7 year olds (and their parents) are invited to an event show to mark the 15th anniversary of the Théâtre des Petites Âmes. For the occasion, the Maison Théâtre was transformed from top to bottom to better represent the spirit of a ball where everything is creamy white! Eight performers and a piano will share the stage for this show imagined by Isabelle Payant. Here, characters, shadows and puppets will come to life in a festive atmosphere combining music and dance. From September 15 to 24 at the Maison Théâtre.

Do you like to dance? Starting Thursday, the Esplanade at Place des Arts will be transformed into an open-air dance floor for the TEMPÉO music festival, hosted by Philippe Fehmiu. Bollywood, disco, Haitian, Latin and indigenous music: the public is invited to come and discover different musical genres in the company of professional dancers.
