CPKC Women’s Open | Megan Khang retains the top spot

(Vancouver) American Megan Khang birdied four of her last five holes to retain the lead at the CPKC Women’s Open on Saturday.

In the third round, Khang turned in a 68 (minus-4) to improve his total to minus-11.

His four birdies on the back nine helped him distance himself from Sei Young Kim, who hit two eagles, including a hole-in-one, to finish with 67 (-5) and move into second place. .

Canadian Brooke Henderson struggled with three more shots than normal. She finished the day tied for 34th, with two more strokes than normal.

NAFTA Sharp is the only other Canadian in the competition. She’s tied for 62nd, having turned in a six-under par card to improve her record to seven strokes above par.

An air quality advisory for Metro Vancouver continued on Saturday due to smoke from ongoing wildfires in British Columbia.

The notice affected Shaughnessy Golf Club and the Country Club, but its oceanside course remained rather far from the smoke.
