(New York) Brandon Belt broke the tie with a two-run homer in the seventh inning and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the New York Mets 6-4 on Sunday.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homered for the Blue Jays (33-27), who lost a four-run lead before rebounding. The Torontonians swept the three-game series and won their fourth straight game.

Tommy Pham hit two of the Mets’ four solo homers. Pete Alonso and Starling Marte did the same for the New Yorkers, who had just swept their six-game streak against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Nate Pearson (3-0) gave Alonso a season-high 21st homer in the Majors and Marte’s slap in the sixth inning before the Blue Jays regained the lead against Dominic Leone (0-2).

Alonso’s 72nd home run at Citi Field made him the stadium’s all-time home run leader.

Guerrero, who homered in the third inning off Kodai Senga, singled to center in the seventh. Belt followed with a long ball near the Big Apple, over the center field fence.

It was Belt’s third home run of the season and his first since May 10 in Philadelphia. It was also his second long ball in New York this season, following the one at Yankee Stadium on April 21.

After hitting the eventual game-winning hit in the ninth inning Saturday, when the Mets (30-30) decided against walking him, Guerrero homered for the first time since May 23 against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Whit Merrifield slammed a two-run double over Senga. Matt Chapman hit a double and scored on a wild pitch from Mets rookie receiver Francisco Alvarez.

Pham hit a four-goal run in two consecutive outings against starter Yusei Kikuchi, who allowed two runs and four hits in five innings on the mound.

Jordan Romano was perfect in the ninth inning to record a 15th save in 18 chances.

Pitching four days off for the first time in Major League Baseball, Senga allowed four runs, three of which were earned, and four hits in two and two-thirds innings.

The Mets have totaled just five points in this series, returning to a tie at .500 for the 11th time this season.
