According to La Chaîne Météo models, an anticyclone dominates the Atlantic while disturbances are active between the Iberian Peninsula and central Europe. “This configuration is responsible for unstable and stormy weather in the south of France, but dry and calm in the north. Due to a small persistent northeasterly flow, temperatures do not change much and remain close to average “, specifies the site specializing in meteorology. This Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Météo-France* has placed around forty departments on storm yellow vigilance in view of the deterioration expected from noon. According to the official website, yellow weather vigilance requires making certain arrangements. “If you practice activities sensitive to meteorological risk or exposed to flooding; usual phenomena in the region but occasionally and locally dangerous (eg mistral, summer storm, rising waters) are indeed expected; keep yourself informed of the evolution of the situation”, he recommends.
