The former Bundesliga professional, Kevin-Prince Boateng complained of growing racism in the stadiums. “I don’t have the impression that progress has been made. The situation has worsened in the last five years, even more,“ said the former Ghanaian football player, currently with Italian Serie A club Sassuolo Calcio under contract. Boateng said with the SSC-Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in solidarity, the Serie A the top match against Inter Milan on Wednesday, the victim of a racist insult.

Boateng was rejected in January 2013, even racist, when he was competing as a professional AC Milan in a friendly match against the club Pro Patria, in Lombardy, in Busto Arsizio. He left then, after 26 minutes of the court, because the Fans of Pro Patria had him and the rest of the dark-skinned Milan player insulted continually racist. “I was insulted by about 50 Fans at the San Siro stadium (in the case of Koulibaly, d. ed.) there were 10.000. This is racism. For some people, colored people are monkeys,“ said Boateng in an Interview with the Milan daily Corriere della Sera on Saturday.

“is not Also the situation in Germany is very different. In everyday life I have never experienced discriminatory incidents, but I am 1.90 meters tall and weighing 90 pounds. Maybe a thought as before,“ said the 31-Year-old. The acquittal of the Pro Patria Fans who had insulted him, described Boateng as an error. “Everyone has to understand that it was a racist incident,” said the player.

He also criticized the Italian interior Minister, Matteo Salvini, had declared that the game between Inter and Napoli would not have because of the racist insults against Koulibaly should be interrupted. “That would have been for the millions of people who have seen the game on TV, that’s right,” said Boateng.
