(Toronto) NFL Canada and Football Canada have announced a partnership to support and enable the growth of the sport in the country.

The three-year deal announced on Friday will focus on youth engagement programs (boys and girls ages 8-12), coaching clinics that will have direct community benefits, and football growth feminine.

NFL Canada will also support flag football and youth soccer programs in underserved communities and strengthening the player’s pathway to international competition.

Football Canada President Jim Mullin said the agreement will strengthen the development of the sport north of the border.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. However, Mullin added that the agreement strengthens the foundations of Football Canada as a national sports federation.
