This Tuesday, January 2, 2023, Elisabeth Borne finally revealed that she would unveil her pension reform on January 23, in the Council of Ministers.

At the start of the year, it is time for the final negotiations. On Tuesday January 3 and Wednesday January 4, 2023, Elisabeth Borne receives the social partners to refine the pension reform. Pension reform was an essential subject of Emmanuel Macron’s wishes to the French for the new year. The President of the Republic assured that the objective was to “consolidate our system by distribution which would otherwise be threatened”. He also confirmed that “new rules” should be in force “from the end of summer 2023”.
