Many press cartoonists share their art on Twitter to comment on the news with their biting humour. Here is our small selection of the week. On the program of the press review: the disturbances in the stations due to the strike at the SNCF.

Like every year for the Christmas holidays, millions of French people have planned to join their loved ones for Christmas Eve this weekend from December 24 to 25. While travelers have made arrangements to book their train tickets, many trains have been canceled this week due to the mobilization of railway unions. “In total, around 200,000 passengers are affected by these cancellations, of which there are 800 between Friday and Monday”, indicated our colleagues from BFM Business citing the calculations of the Parisian.

Friday, December 23, the trade unions signed the agreement of the management of the SNCF, put on the table the day before, thus allowing the lifting of the strike notice which hovered over the weekend of the New Year to come. “I salute the spirit of responsibility that prevails this morning at the SNCF in anticipation of the New Year weekend. Social dialogue always makes it possible to find the best path for employees and companies”, wrote Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne on Twitter.

However, the French affected by the disturbances this weekend (and reimbursed by the SNCF) had to find another means of transport to join their families for the holidays. Carpooling, Bus, Airplane… Which solution should you choose to overcome strikes? Also in the news this week: Didier’s Blues returned from Qatar after their loss to Argentina in the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Not to mention the meeting between Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky in the United States. Discover in our slideshow below, our selection of the best cartoons of the week.
