Meat, white or red, is one of the foods most at risk of causing food poisoning. According to Femme Actuelle, bacteria and worms from an animal can be transmitted to humans during consumption. “For red meats, there is Escherichia coli infection and taenia for beef (especially minced meat), mutton, goat or trichinosis for horses (…) poorly or undercooked poultry can cause Campylobacter bacterial infection or dioxin poisoning for chicken,” the magazine said.
