This 25-year-old journalist, close to France Insoumise, denounced, shortly before, the racist attacks of which he had been the victim since he had announced his candidacy. He was then supported by a large part of the left.

Recently, the newspaper Liberation reported that the writer Zineb El Rhazoui was approached to be invested by the presidential majority during the legislative elections. Except that in the end, her candidacy is embarrassing, in particular because of a photo showing her with a far-right youtuber, exhumed in 2019. On May 9, Christophe Castaner thus assured at the microphone of franceinfo that Zineb El Rhazaoui would not be candidate within Renaissance.

Another affair recently set Emmanuel Macron’s party ablaze. In August 2017, the deputy of the 9th constituency of the French abroad M’jib El Guerrad hits the socialist Boris Faure with a helmet, during an altercation in the middle of the street. He was never removed from his post. On May 12, 2022, he was sentenced to three years in prison and two years of ineligibility. No risk therefore, that he is a candidate for his succession.
