Dollywood employees who wish to continue their education can now apply for tuition, books, and fees free of charge for certain programs.

Tuesday’s announcement announced that the initiative will help pay educational costs for all Dolly Parton resort employees in Tennessee, as well as other subsidiaries of parent company Herschend Enterprises. These include the Harlem Globetrotters in Kentucky and the Newport Aquarium, Kentucky.

The program is open to 11,000 employees of the company and will be launched on February 24, , the company states.

Andrew Wexler, CEO of Herschend Enterprises, stated that employees are encouraged to “go after a dream” or “promote their careers with us.” Their futures should be cultivated with love and not loans, according to us.

The initiative, called “Herschend’s grow U.,” gives eligible employees free access more than 100 fully-funded diploma, degree, and certificate programs through Guild’s Learning Marketplace. The programs include marketing, finance, technology, and business administration.

Additional programs such as engineering, hospitality and art design will be offered to employees at a cost of up to $5250 per annum.

Natalie McCullough (president and chief commercial officer at Guild Education) said, “With this program Herschend is preparing their workforce for the jobs that the future holds with new skills, mobility opportunities, and other capabilities.”
