U.S. army chief Mark Milley described his attendance at a photo session of US President Donald Trump after a highly controversial use of force against peaceful demonstrators as “error”. “I shouldn’t have been there. My presence in this Moment and in this environment has created a perception that the military is involved in the internal politics,” said Milley said in a Thursday broadcast a video address to a University of the armed forces. This was a “mistake” from which he learned, as Milley more.

Inspected the empty streets

Trumps government had at the beginning of June a Demonstration in front of the White house to disperse, so the President was able to pose in front of a Church on the square with a Bible for the cameras. Among other things, the military police had come to use. The procedure resulted in sharp criticism. Due to the use of tear gas and rubber bullets, also a suit of a civil rights organization against the government.

Trump had praised earlier on Thursday, the work of the security forces during the protests around the White house. “Our magnificent troops of the national guard, which took care of the area around the White house, could hardly believe how easy it was,” wrote Trump on Thursday on Twitter. “Protesters, agitators, anarchists (ANTIFA) and Other” had been held by the national guard, the police and the Secret Service at Bay.
