Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro filmed Pinocchio for the Streaming platform Netflix. It is the first animated feature film of the 54-year-old Mexican Director, announced Netflix on Monday.

The story of the wooden puppet with the nose that grows with every lie, is to play in Italy in the 1930s. “Ever since I can remember, I wanted to make this Film,” said Del Toro, has been awarded in March for his Film “the Shape of Water – The Whisper of the water” with the Oscar for best Director. Del Toro will write the script for the new Film, together with Patrick McHale (“Adventure Time”, “Behind the garden wall”).
